How about that for a very 80s picture of the Sparks?? When Rebecca was talking about getting kicked out of one church for her dress, I thought you might like to see what she looked like back then!
Thanks to the many of you who came out last night to her Greg and Rebecca Sparks. What a treat! It was one of my favorite shows yet. Can you believe Rebecca has that much energy at 48? I just wanted to let you know that they haven't left the area yet. They will be playing this evening, Sunday, October 11th, at 6:00 at New Horizons Fellowship, 820 E. Williams St., Apex (303-5266). For directions, you can see a map here. New Horizons is a converted Food Lion. Dress is casual. I don't know the charge, if any; I suspect it is simply donations. Bring some friends and turn them on to the Sparks tonight.
Also, many of you enjoyed their encore song, "I Can't Dance," but looked in vain for it on any of their albums. Given the strangeness of the music business, that song is on an album, Through Flood and Fire, that is no longer available. However, for a limited time I am including an MP3 of the song below for your downloading. Someone asked me if they were free to send emails or Facebook info about our concert series to friends. Sure! These concerts are semi-private affairs, meaning that they are for friends and friends of friends. I rarely seek out the free public advertisements, relying on word-of-mouth, Twitter, Facebook, and email to invite. So, please bring your friends along.
